Course Description
In this course we will show you how to assess and manage emergency situations for both adult and paediatric patients. The course is divided into three sections: Airways, Breathing and Circulation.
The Airway section looks at how to effectively open, clear and maintain an airway.
In the Breathing section we will show you how to provide oxygenation and ventilation, and in the Circulation section we focus on CPR and early defibrillation.
In the Circulation section we will also demonstrate how to successfully combine and integrate all the ABC skills from the three sections and how to work as a team to bring about the best outcome for the patient.
Whatever field of health care you work in, you never know when you may encounter a collapsed or unconscious patient. After completion of this course, you will be able to provide the optimal, evidence-based, standard of care in these situations.
